Signature Events bring together a small circle of accomplished riders on carefully chosen dates. Sometimes hosted by Olympic medalists or equestrian icons, these gatherings are as much about the people as the riding – weekends where bold horses, wide horizons, and shared tables create space for lasting connection.
You may bring your own horse, or be carefully matched with a forward-going hunter type – the kind of horse that makes Dartmoor riding such a thrill. Stabling, accommodation, and dining are all arranged to the highest standard, so once you arrive, you are free to focus on the ride, the conversation, and the camaraderie.
Our Signature Events are soulful escapes, designed for those who value connection – to nature, to extraordinary horses, and to each other.

Hosted by Karzan Hughes, this immersive, small-group retreat combines Dartmoor riding with daily stretch and bodywork sessions, so you learn to be looser, stronger and more comfortable getting back in the saddle each day.
This three-night escape, based at Bovey Castle, combines guided rides across the moor with sessions led by Karzan to improve mobility, balance and recovery. Each day builds skill and awareness — time in the saddle complemented by off-horse work designed to make every ride feel more fluid and connected.

This experience offers a small, intimate group a rare opportunity to step inside Badminton – one of the most revered estates in the equestrian world, where British sporting history, royal heritage and generations of horsemanship are woven into the landscape itself.
Created by Liberty Trails in collaboration with the Badminton Estate and Mary, it reflects a shared commitment to preserving the spirit, heritage and integrity of this exceptional ground.
At the heart of the experience is Mary King MBE, whose own story is inseparable from this place. Having competed here 22 times over 19 years and won twice, she brings Badminton to life through memory, insight and the perspective of someone who has truly lived its highs and lows.
Over three nights at a five-star hotel, and two days in the saddle, you will ride through the private areas of the estate, spend time with your host, Mary King, both in and out of the saddle, and experience Badminton in a way very few people ever will.
This is a carefully curated, access-led experience defined by place, heritage, and privilege.

A Bespoke Experience is Liberty Trails at its most personal. There are no set itineraries – every detail is curated around you, whether you arrive alone, with a partner, or with family and friends.
You might choose to stay in a five-red-star hotel or the private wing of a grand country house, before riding across wide-open moorland, and pausing for a champagne picnic by the river. Non-riders are welcomed with equal care, with days shaped by championship golf, spa retreats, or even helicopter flights across the tors.
