We are OPEN for business! Final places remain for the Dartmoor Tor to Tor Ride (18 - 21 Sept 2020) and Horse & House Party (23 to 26 October)
‘My overall experience? Is 11 out of 10 allowed?’ Jane C, Cotswolds, England.
Imagine a luxury riding holiday in one of Britain’s last true wildernesses, to ensure the summer of 2020 finishes on a high — and accessible by a direct train from London.
A few places remain on our new Tor to Tor ride in September (18 to 21). It involves three nights in a quintessential private guest lodge, with two full days in the saddle. You will be riding for some five hours a day — taking in a fabulous route that goes RIGHT ACROSS the full width of Dartmoor, from Hound Tor on the eastern side, to Sourton Tor on the western edge. This is a route of circa 50 miles in total, making this one of our most adventurous rides.
We can supply excellent horses, or bring your own. You’ll ride in no more than two groups of around eight with two guides accompanying each group. We’ll make the necessary stabling provisions for horses on route, and have ground crews for each team. After the day’s adventures, we will drive you to a private luxury guest lodge on the moor, where you’ll be welcomed by your lodge host and served tea and cake. Each evening you’ll have a fabulous supper prepared by your resident chef.
Prices are £1,350 per head (own horse, sharing a twin); £1,500 (own horse, single room); £1,700 (hired horse, sharing a room) or £1,850 (own horse, single occupancy). To register interest please email Enquiries@liberty-trails.com
WE also have some availability for our Horse & House party from 23 to 26 October, which involves a slightly lower mileage and chalet-style suppers. Click the Horse & House party tab above in Special Events to learn more..
