From Swiss mountains to Devon moorland

In May we were delighted to host from Switzerland, Stephen and his family, for a fabulous tailor-made luxury riding holiday his family on Dartmoor. A regular rider in Switzerland, Stephen sent us some wonderful footage of himself cantering up tracks in snow-dusted mountains before his arrival. Stunning! Happily we are also offer the most stunning luxury riding imaginable on superb mounts.

We organised accommodation at the wonderful Bovey Castle hotel, exclusive guided riding for Stephen and his ski instructor son Lukas who joined his father for the final part of the trip (and who, as you might expect, has pretty perfect balance). As you can see, we took in some FABULOUS countryside, and other members of Stephen’s family met up with the riders for our legendary Liberty Trails moorland lunch, and joined in a private falconry experience.

We are thrilled that Stephen has promised to return soon with his daughters to ride with us again. Dartmoor does that to you — one visit is simply never enough.. especially when you visit it LIberty Trails style..
