Our speciality is offering full days of fast and fun riding on top quality horses. This is not ‘pony trekking’, but adventure riding for experienced riders on fit, forward going horses with English tack, though there is no need to jump.
A trip with Liberty Trails allows you to meet families who have farmed on Dartmoor for many generations, and for you to experience a truly English rural way of life that not even many British people get to see.
Besides top-class horse riding, we organise a wide range of accommodation for our guests, from five-star hotels to charming Devon cottages, plus extra non-riding activities (fishing, golf etc). We can also arrange all your transport if you wish from the moment you land in England.
We can also suggest excellent, characterful accommodation in other parts of England, including London, the Cotswolds, or by the airport, as required.
Our staff speak some French and German, although as most of our guides speak only English, you will need a good level of English to get the best out of your trip!
We specialise in tailor made rides for individual groups coming to England, and also run a small number of specialist riding experiences each year, such as the Dartmoor Derby. The specialist rides involve slightly larger numbers, and people may enter as individuals.
