Many wealthy and ultra-wealthy people from the USA struggle to find the finest horse riding getaways in the English countryside that cater for riding enthusiasts as well as their non-riding partners.

We provide an exclusive concierge service for our US clientele that takes care of every detail from arrival and departure points in England.

We carefully plan and deliver highly bespoke riding holidays and ensure everyone leaves having had the time of their lives.

Tailored itineraries for keen riders and their non riding guests

It is often the case that there is a mix of highly experienced, intermediate and novice riders in a party as well as non-riders. For riders with different levels of skill we provide appropriate routes and or training and support as required.

For non-riders in a party, a range of luxurious and bespoke experiences await that may include spa treatments, a round of golf or a helicopter flight across the moor.

An Exclusive Experience with Limited Rides Per Year

Dartmoor National Park is the highest, oldest and least populated area in the South West of England. We are uniquely committed to providing the finest possible riding and non-riding experiences for our clients while fulfilling our environmental responsibilities to maintaining this beautiful wild landscape.

Rider numbers are therefore strictly limited each year. We feel this is a win-win scenario: our clients enjoy the intoxicating solitude of the moor and the environment remains unspoiled.

An Example of a Bespoke Riding Holiday

A recent client from the US spent over $30,000 on a bespoke, four-day trip. With extensive planning beforehand with our client’s personal assistant and security team, every detail was carefully attended to.

Our client flew from the US by private jet to Exeter Airport. Our team were waiting with Range Rovers, and support vehicles, to transport the eight-strong party, with their luggage, to a local castle that we had booked for them. A multitude of events and activities were planned for both riders and non-riders and all members of the party had the most fabulous time.

One of the bespoke experiences we delivered involved four members of the riding party who were delighted to find that they were in fact sleeping out on the moor in luxurious yurts while being served the finest food and wine. A surprise from the host that went down an absolute treat!

Other bespoke elements included:

  • 3 days of adventurous horse riding
  • Falconry
  • Helicopter flight
  • Multiple spa treatments
  • The finest food and wine
  • A round of golf on a championship-standard course

If you’d like to explore options for your own bespoke riding holiday here on Dartmoor, please do get in touch with our client services team who will be happy to discuss your requirements.

Specialist holidays for the discerning rider with a thirst for adventure

The perfect horse riding holiday isn’t just about the riding – it’s about the landscapes you ride through, the quality and condition of the horses you ride, even if you hire rather than bring your own, the comfort and relaxation at the end of the day and the exquisite food and wine that makes every evening special. We understand that it’s the finer details that make all the difference which is why we do everything we can to ensure your  horse riding holiday on Dartmoor exceeds your expectations.

And once that’s all in place, just imagine escaping from it all and riding a horse across one of the highest, oldest and least inhabited areas of protected countryside in England in the company of your horse, an experienced guide and a couple of your carefully selected friends.

With our experienced guides, you’ll explore Dartmoor’s varied terrain, horse riding across wide-open moorland and ancient woodland. It’s a little like stepping back into the past – you’ll rarely see a vehicle, and apart from the occasional farmhouse, there are few signs of civilization, making it blissfully tranquil.

You can choose to start and finish each day riding your horse from the same place, varying the length and distance of each ride, or opt for a longer, exhilarating horse riding safari where the horses spend each night in a different outpost.

At the end of each day, you’ll finish your horse riding adventure at a privately-owned stable yard in a perfect setting, where you’ll be able to settle your horse, relax over a cup of tea or a cold beer and share stories of a great day in the saddle before re-joining your non-riding friends.
